Since my life consists of laundry, toy (and real) airplanes, messy art, and a lot of cute questions. I really want to be able to talk about my family. Unfortunately, I am afraid that "they" are looking for me. For some reason, I don't want anyone to be able to google our names and actually find us. Some call this "being cautious", others (my husband) call this "paranoia". Either way, I would like to give each of my children a blog name! So, here goes...
My oldest, a daughter will be called "Violet". She loves the movie "Incredibles" and is hoping to someday discover her own superhero powers.
My second, a son, will be referred to as "Herbie" because he is a true Love Bug...Today anyway.
And we shall call the third, also a son, "Bigweld" (have you seen "Robots" a few hundred times?!). He loves to build and un-build everything in sight!
I feel so much better. Now if only I had a good story to tell so I could try out their new names! I'm sure that sooner than later they will present me a lovely tale wrapped in something sticky. For now, I'll just fold another load of laundry and wait...

Cute idea. I've also seen some bloggers refer to their family and friends simply by the first initial of their first name. But that can get confusing if names begin with the same letters.
I look forward to reading more about your family. Hearing about your adventures raising young children reminds me of the "old days" when the Pelican's best friend was a little dude.....
I love the code name idea. It's totally not paranoid to be careful on the internet. I also, don't use names on mine and even go so far as to condense my cat's names (which I know is just plain silly). I'm also super careful about posting pictures of family, I don't want people to be able to google me either. It just seems the right thing to do. I have been on other craft blogs that had bad problems (they didn't get into specifics) around posting their children's names and photos. Just no need to go there.
