Per Violet, Mrs. H (her kindergarten teacher) "knows a lot more than mama". Recently, one of Violet's classmates said "heck". Mrs. H explained that when you say "heck" it is just like saying "hell". This seems like sound logic to me. It's the application of the logic that gives me some trouble.
Violet: "I snuck up on Gram" (insert 6 year old girl giggle here) "and I scared the hell out of her" (insert "and I'm very proud of myself" face here).
Me: "Really?"
Violet: "Yup"
